A vehicle is deemed to be abandoned if it is left at a motor vehicle repair facility without an attempt by the owner, a person on the owner's behalf, or any other person having legal right thereto to regain possession thereof for any abandoned motor vehicle (i.e., Automobiles, Trucks, Motorcycles, Boats, ATV's, etc.)
If you are the owner or an employee at a storage faciilty and have entered into an agreement for the storage of a motor vehicle, and haven't been able to reach the customer for any of the following:
1. The customer has stopped payment under the terms of the storage agreement, or
2. The vehicle is in severe disrepair, is leaking hazardous substances on your property, or is overrun by critters, or
3. The vehicle owner is in breach of the storage agreement for a reason other than non-payment, or
4. The vehicle is left on the property without permission,
You have the right to apply for title for that vehicle.
